Love and Resistance

Sometimes you read something you just have to share. I [jess] loved this piece when I first read it and wanted to share it with you, too. The article entitled

“Love and resistance: Re‐inventing radical nurses in everyday struggles”

appears in the current issue of the Journal for Clinical Nursing and can be accessed using the link below. In this piece, Mick McKeown stakes a claim for nursing radicals as a force for good in a world that needs it. I’m especially drawn to McKeown’s critique of neoliberalism in the context of healthcare delivery and to his recognition of the emancipatory potential for a discipline that embraces an activist and relational stance.

With thanks to Kylie Smith for bringing it to my attention and especially to Mick McKeown for writing this fabulous piece.
