Watch the Recording of the “Nursing Solidarity: A Story Circle” Here!

Last night, Radical Nurses and California State University, San Marcos, Ethnic Studies Program hosted our first “Nursing Solidarity: A Story Circle” on Zoom. With powerful and personal short stories, our five presenters modeled vulnerability and moral courage to our audience of 45 nurses and nursing students from around the world. Watch the recording on YouTube by clicking here.

Thank you to our inaugural speakers: Dr. Anna Valdez, Walden University, Dr. Shena Gazaway, Augusta University, Patrick McMurray of PatMacRN, Robin Cogan of the Relentless School Nurse, and Jerry Soucy of the Death Nurse, for their time and willingness to share part of themselves with us, the listeners. Also, thank you to Jason Magabo Perez, from University California, San Marcos, Ethnic Studies Program for reaching out to Radical Nurses Collective to explore storytelling as a way to connect and empower nurses. We appreciate you.

Our inaugural story telling circle was a successful and enriching event. We will announce the date of our next Nursing Solidarity Story Telling event by the end of June 2020. In the meantime, please consider sharing your story. You can reach us at: RadicalNursesCollective@gmail.com.

In solidarity,

Vanessa & Jess
